Expressing and Enforcing Timing Constraints in a CORBA Environment

چکیده
Real-time distributed applications such as automated factory control, command and control, avionic navigation and simulation have presented the need to extend the Object Management Group's (OMG) Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA) standard to support real-time. A real-time SIG (CORBA/RT) has been formed in the OMG and is developing a set of desired capabilities for this extension. This paper describes the CORBA/RT desired capabilities that will enable the expression and enforcement of timing constraints on client/server interactions in a CORBA environment. It also describes our prototype implementation of solutions to fulllll these desired capabilities. This implementation represents a start towards creating a standard real-time distributed environment.

Parametric Time-Based Dispatching in CORBA Distributed Environments
This paper presents a complete system model for scheduling and dispatching CORBA service requests that have hard as well as soft real-time timing requirements in a distributed environment. The model provides the methodology for expressing and enforcing time-based QoS constraints for real-time CORBA service requests. Therefore, the presented model complements the state of the art in real-time sc...

The emerging distributed applications require end-to-end support for various quality-of-service (QoS) aspects, including bandwidth, latency, jitter, and dependability. The Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA) is an open distributed object computing infrastructure, standardized by the Object Management Group (OMG). Its goal is to minimize the effort required to develop high-quality ...

This paper tries to indicate that new institutional economy has various origins and does not have an integrate wholeness. Lack of integraty in new institutional economy is reflected in its approach toward transaction costs there are two approaches toward transaction costs, one of which focuses on the firm and its relations and the other emphasizes on macro-infrastructures. Considering North’s a...
متن کاملEnforcing a lips Usage Policy for CORBA Components
Software components promise easy reuse, dependability, and simplified development. Problems arise when implicit assumptions about the use of the component are encoded in the implementation but not communicated to the user. One solution to this problem is to formally specify these constraints about a component's use. Once specified, these usage constraints can be statically verified or dynamical...
متن کاملA Scheduling Service for a Dynamic Real-Time CORBA System
Distributed real-time applications have presented the need to extend the Object Management Group's (OMG) Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA) standard to support real-time. The OMG has formed a real-time special interest group (RT SIG) to specify requirements for extending CORBA for realtime. One of these requirements involves providing global scheduling of all executions to suppor...
